I Velvet Rooks nascono nel 2006 sotto il nome Hazzard, da un'idea di Gianpino Margarone (chitarra) e Salvo Ialuna (voce), che militavano già in una cover band rock dal nome The time is water.
Nel 2007, con l'arrivo dell’attuale batterista, Salvo Incarbone, lo stile si avvicina più all'hard rock, e la band comincia ad esibirsi dal vivo in vari locali della Sicilia. Parallelamente, con l’entrata di Ivan Diamante (basso), si inizia a lavorare ad un progetto inedito, e, nel 2008, viene pubblicata una prima demo, The Moon.
Nel 2009, la band ha l'onore di annunciare l'arrivo dell’attuale tastierista, Andrea Fortezza, che propone sin da subito di riarrangiare i brani della demo ed iniziare i lavori del loro primo concept album. Proprio con l'ingresso delle tastiere il gruppo si evolve stilisticamente in rock progressive, con venature metal ben presenti, e cambia il nome in Velvet Rooks.
A giugno, grazie alla collaborazione tecnica di Antonio Amato, la band entra in studio di registrazione per le riprese del primo album, Cybernetics Battle. Si aprono intanto nuovi scenari per il gruppo, che comincia così a partecipare ad alcuni festival regionali e nazionali. Tra questi: Festival Pub Italia, Rock Targato Italia, Italia Wave, Tour Music Fest (accedendo a tre giorni di audizioni con Gianpaolo Russelli della Sony BMG), Sanremo Rock 2009 (arrivando tra i vincitori e vedendo il brano Ora so inserito nella compilation ufficiale), e la partecipazione alle selezioni di Sanremo Giovani ed 2010.
Di rilievo anche l'esperienza con diverse radio regionali, tra cui Rock Revolution, Radio Zammù, Radio Rete Centrale, Radio Onda Libera e Studio Tre Radio.
A Marzo 2010, dopo l'uscita ufficiale del primo album, Cybernetics Battle, con l'entrata del nuovo bassista, Giuseppe Campisi, iniziano i lavori per il prossimo album, tratto dalla celeberrima trilogia della Divina Commedia. L'uscita è programmata per i primissimi mesi del 2011. A Maggio 2010, i Velvet Rooks decidono di firmare un contratto con la Nomadism, agenzia di management, booking, promotion e distribuzione, a carattere nazionale.
Intraprendono intanto una collaborazione con la Coop. Soc. Arcoiris e la Coop. Soc. Namastè, con l'intento di coadiuvare la disabilità alla musica. Con la Namastè iniziano sin da subito una mini tourneé nel circondario, affiancando lo spettacolo del comico Litterio (Enrico Guarneri). Ad agosto la band entra in studio di registrazione, e iniziano ufficialmente le riprese dell’album riguardante l'Inferno (sono previsti, per il futuro, anche Purgatorio e Paradiso).
In contemporanea, grazie alla collaborazione con Salvatore Carcò (cameraman), completano il loro primo videoclip, che uscirà, assieme al singolo, il 30 ottobre 2010.
La band, molto ambiziosa, punta sempre più in alto: dopo l'uscita della seconda release, i Velvet Rooks puntano ad intraprendere un tour promozionale per il nuovo lavoro e sperano di riuscire a conquistare una fetta di spazio nell'immenso, intricato mondo del mercato discografico.

BIOGRAPHY :
The Velvet Rooks are born in the 2006 bottom the name Hazzard, from an idea of Gianpino Margarone (guitar) and Ialuna Salvo (voice), that served in the military already in a cover band rock from the name The time is water.
In 2007, with the arrival of the actual drummer, Incarbone Salvo, the style draws near more to the hard rock, and the band starts to perform live himself in various places of Sicily. Parallelly, with the entrance of Ivan Diamante (Bass), it is begun to work to an unpublished project, and, in 2008, a first is published demo The Moon.
In 2009, the band has the honor to announce the arrival of the actual pianist, Andrew Fortezza, that proposes since immediately to get by the passages of the demo and to begin the jobs of theirs first concept album. Just with the entry of the keyboards the group stylistically evolves him in progressive rock, with veins well present metal, and it changes the name in Velvet Rooks.
In June, thanks to the technical collaboration of Anthony Amato, the band enters study of recording for the resumptions of the first album, Cybernetics Battle. They open meanwhile new sceneries for the group, that starts so to participate to some regional and national festivals. Among these: Festival Pub Italy, Rock Targato Italy, Italy Wave, Tour Music Fest (accessing three days of auditions with Gianpaolo Russelli of the Sony BMG), Sanremo Rock 2009 (arriving among the winners and seeing the passage I Now know inserted in the official compilation), and the share to the selections of Sanremo Giovani and 2010.
Of relief also the experience with different regional radios, among which Rock Revolution, Radio Zammù, Radio Central Net, Radio Free Wave and Study Three Radios.
In March 2010, after the official exit of the first album, Cybernetics Battle, with the entrance of the new bassman, Joseph Campisi , begins the jobs for the next album, drawn by the very famous trilogy of the Divine Comedy. The exit is programmed for the first months of 2011. In May 2010, the Velvet Rooks decide to sign a contract with the Nomadism, agency of management, booking, promotion and distribution, to national character.
They undertake meanwhile a collaboration with the Coop. Soc. Arcoiris and the Coop. Soc. Namastè, with the intent of coadiuvare the disabilità to the music. With the Namastè they begin since immediately a miniskirt tourneé in the district, placing side by side him/it show of the comic Litterio (Henry Guarneri). To August the band enters study of recording, and they officially begins the resumptions of the album regarding the hell (they are anticipated, for the future, also Purgatory and Heaven).
At the same time, thanks to the collaboration with Savior Carcò (cameraman), they complete theirs first videoclip, that will go out, together with the single one, October 30 th 2010.
The band, very ambitious, stings aloft more and more: after the exit of the second release, the Velvet Rooks aim to undertake a promotional tour for the new job and they hope to succeed in conquering a slice of space in the immense one tangled world of the record market.
